Ingredients
This recipe is approximate. It’s a good basis to start with, but you’ll want to tweak it to fit what you like.
4 cups frozen strawberries
4 cups fresh almond milk (see Basic Almond Milk recipe and video)
1 tsp vanilla
Dash of salt (optional)
¼ cup agave or sweetener of choice (adjust sweetener to taste. If I were making this for myself, I’d prob. put in a little less.)
Put all ingredients in the Vitamix or other high speed blender. Blend until smooth. Add less milk for thicker shake or ice cream consistency.
My children absolutely love this! It’s a quick, easy treat. I love that while their getting dessert, they’re also getting wonderful nutrients including protein, magnesium, iron, zinc and potassium and vitamin C – just to name a few.
